Walk Now for Autism Speaks

I know you all are going to be very excited to hear, or read, this!! Autism Speaks is having their annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks Saturday, September 17! Looking at my calender, I see that this event is TOMORROW!!!! From my previous blong, you all can already tell that I am very happy to help out with this event with my sorority sisters.

Autism Speaks has done a wonderful job of PR for this event. They have had numerous radio ads on Clear Channel Radio Stations; KJ103 is the one that I have heard consistantly. Of course, Alpha Xi Delta here at UCO has done their fair share of advertising for this event too. We have made a Facebook event and invited all of our friends to it, we went around to every greek chapter meeting on campus and left sign up sheets for their members and I emailed my dad and asked him to spread the word to his co-workers. All in all, we are very happy to pe apart of this event and see it come to life in the OKC area!

If any of you would like to join Alpha Xi Delta and many others walk for Autism Speaks, you can come to Lake Hefner. Registration begins at 9am and the walk lasts until 12pm. A great way to get out of the house, get your exercise in for the day and support an amazing organization!!
